Well, if you compare anything to Wings you can't really expect much, can you? Even Red Baron feels slightly limited...

Sorry but whenever I play a WWI style flight game I always dream of the truly beautiful Wings on the Amiga, and Warbirds failed to live up to even half that much fun!

Then again the GBA version of Wings was terrible too. I guess it just isn't meant for such a small screen.

You've got to get Chips Challenge, one of my fave puzzle games of all time!

Id' also recommend rechargable battery pack. I picked up a 2nd hand Lynx a while back which came with one of these and it makes the thing far more "portable" - despite the fact it sticks out of the back a fair way and doubles the weight of the console!

Good "choice" on the Lynx 2, looks way better than the "pre-facelift" model!

My favourite Lynx games were (and still are)

Road Blasters (it's a truly brilliant conversion)
Chips Challenge
& the excellent Slime World

The surfing part of California Games is sublime (the rest of the events pretty much suck).

Warbirds is just too slow for me. Choppy frame rate, dodgy controls.

A wise choice indeed... Now, you absolutely have to grab a copy (preferably two for multiplayer) of Warbirds and then -of course- Chip's Challenge. Mind you, Electrocop can be quite impressive too.
