Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge Out Now
Team Ninja’s enhanced update of Ninja Gaiden 3 finally hits the Wii U. In Europe at least.
The original game wasn’t too well received upon its release in March, due to its sloppy combat, lack of weapons, poor story and weak gameplay.
Fortunately, Team Ninja has gone back to the drawing board and corrected many of these issues. It’s also added the levelling up system from previous games, GamePad support and the ability to play as Ayane.
It’s also taken out those annoying sections where Ryu would stagger helplessly around, and replaced them with kinect combat areans where you must dispose of all enemies before your energy runs out.
It’s still not quite up to the heady standards of the original Xbox game, but this is nonetheless a massive impressive over the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and proof that developers do listen to what their buyers want.
Expect a review in issue 113 of Retro Gamer.
