Remember Space Hulk? It was an ace tabletop miniatures games and it’s back baby.
Space Hulk was massively popular back in the Nineties and consisted of your space marines exploring huge derilect ships (the Space Hulks of the title) while fending off attacks from the xenomorphic Genestealers.
It was a brilliant turn-based game and has been reprinted and refined over the years, with 2009′s edition selling out immediately and now fetching prices of over £100 for mint condition copies.
Developer, Full Control Studios has gone back to Space Hulk’s cardboard roots and faithfully transported the game to PC, Mac and iOS (due soon) and the end results look highly impressive. It features the infamous Blood Angel Terminators and the excellent Sin Of Damnation campaign, that improves on the original 12-part mission of the board game by adding 3 new prequel missions.
Multiplayer has also been included, with asynchronous play across multiple platforms, giving us the perfect excuse to double dip.
Expect a review in a later issue.
