Although I didn’t know of Jonathan, I certainly knew his work and played many of his games. I am very sad to hear this news as people like this devoted their lives to giving other people enjoyment and stuck a big middle finger up to the corporate world. Rest in peace.

For sure he will be missed. He was my coding hero as kid and generally really top bloke.

Just one small point… “he was a regular on certain forums like World of Spectrum where he was affectionately known as Frobrush.”

He was known as Frobush, not Frobrush.
