It's one of those films that you leave the cinema and just feel numb. An excellent story, told very well, but oh so dark (and I loved that about it). It feels like a mental work-out just watching it. I have to admit there were a couple of points in the film when I thought it would end, and then it just went ballistic.

The transition to the events when they call in the home guard... just stunning.
